We are working to make Amadora BD an increasingly accessible event for everyone. This year we have new inclusion tools, a Braille presentation dossier for the exhibition, and, as in previous years, we have tried to make the circuit as accessible as possible. 1. Tickets
General passes and daily tickets for Amadora BD are available, and people with disabilities and Deaf people can purchase them online through the link here. The companion of a person with a disability has free access.
There is also a ticket booth with an adapted counter near the entrance to the venue.
2. Parking
There are 2 parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility who present a disabled parking permit. These spaces, located near the entrance to the venue, are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The path from the parking area to the accessible entrance of the festival presents no significant obstacles.
3. Public Transport
In addition to the regular services, during the festival days there is a shuttle (running hourly) between the Reboleira metro/train station — both accessible — and the venue (and vice versa), operating from 10am to 7pm.

4. Entrances and Access
The route from outside to the ticket booth presents no notable obstacles; there is a ramped area near the entrance allowing access to the sidewalk without the need for maneuvering.
5. Getting Around the Festival
Blind or low-vision visitors
In the exhibition space, we advise visitors who are blind or have low vision to bring a companion, as there are several objects projected on the wall that may be difficult to identify with a cane, as well as obstacles in the center of the room that are not marked or outlined with tactile guidance.
There are also 2 Braille dossiers available to all blind or low-vision visitors. Simply arrive and ask one of the room assistants in the exhibition hall.
Visitors with reduced mobility
Access to the first exhibition space is via a long ramp, over 20m in length, which, while not very steep, does not meet the standards for independent wheelchair travel. The use of personal or motorized assistance is recommended.
Within the exhibition space, all corridors and doors comply with the legally required width for comfortable wheelchair movement.
Access to the second exhibition space and the catering area follows on from the initial ramp, for which we also recommend assistance. The corridors in the second space are wide, and the autograph area is lowered.
The festival has a large catering area with no significant obstacles. The catering area is accessible. As the food outlets are food trucks, they may not have a lowered service counter, but staff have been briefed to provide inclusive service.
6. Information/Reception Desk
In addition to the various assistants located throughout the exhibition rooms, there are 2 points for obtaining information: the adapted ticket booth, and the reception desk in the first pavilion — although it has a raised counter, the front-of-house team is trained to assist people from outside the counter.
7. Adapted Restrooms
There is an adapted restroom at the festival venue, near the entrance on the right-hand side of the ticket booth.
8. Assistance Animals
Assistance animals and guide dogs are permitted at the festival venue.
